Collective Childrens Birthday Party

What is it?

The children in Brydges Centre are bought to the home from diverse backgrounds and some of them with minimal information on their bio data such as names or their parents, place of birth, and date of birth among others.

Just as with every other child they have a desire to celebrate, a moment to reflect on their lives, and a sense of being. Every year, Brydges Centre celebrates the collective birthday of every child under our care on the first Saturday of August.

During this auspicious occasion the entire family of staff, children, wellwishers and friends come together and have fun with lots of entertainment and prayers. As with all events, the birthday party comes at a cost. The annual cost of holding the childrens birthday party is Ksh150,000.

How can you help?

You can help Brydges Centre continue to provide the annual collective childrens birthday by donating towards the event. All donations are welcome, big or small. You will be helping give meaning to the life of an orphaned child. If you are already one of our sponsors you can send a gift pack to your sponsor child, in time for the first Saturday of August.

You can also help by assisting us to provide a token of appreciation which is awarded to each member of staff, to encourage them in their service to the children. This gift does not only recognise their past efforts but also motivates them to keep on accompanying the children under our care.
